My Woot-Off and my Deal-A-Day Trackers are up and running.
After purchasing my new Sprint PPC-6700, I was on the hunt for software that would run on Windows Mobile 5. During my search, I found a bunch of software that was either not quite what I was after or would not run on Windows Mobile 5. So, I pulled out my Visual Studio, downloaded the Windows Mobile SDK and started writing software. While participating in a forum specific to this phone and Windows Mobile 5, PPC6700Users.com and now the broader PPC-Central.com, I ran across others that would want/need the software I was writing. So, I am making my software titles available here. I am doing this in a "donation ware" format. It will help cover the bandwidth and possibly enhancements recommended by you as these titles start to circulate. I won't guarantee that enhancements will come quickly, but will fix bugs as quickly as possible. The PPC versions of the software will not require anything else to be installed on most devices (I am not using Compact Framework 2.0). The PC versions will require .NET 2 (The install will allow you to download it from Microsoft). All of the applications will be tested on the PPC-6700 and Windows XP. Please let me know if they work on other devices. Software titles will be added to this site as they become available. I have a couple beta testers at PPC6700.com that help me get everything worked out. Each program page will have links to similar programs on PocketGear, Handango, and FreewarePPC websites so that you can compare. Please try mine, try theirs, and then use whatever best fits your needs. Programs starting with PPC will be for running on the device only. Programs ending in -PPC will run on the PC, but do things on the device. Programs with neither will either be for both or PC only. |
